Frequently asked questions
Everything you want to know about wearing, charging, sensors, the app and privacy — short and honest.
Are there any subscription fees for the MYnextRING app?
No. The app is free for you forever — no subscription, no ongoing costs. You pay for the ring once, and everything else is included.
Which colours is the ring available in?
The MYnextRING N2 Pro comes in four finishes: Matte Black, Polished Rose Gold, Half-Polished Silver and Matte Silver.
Which devices are compatible with the ring?
The MYnextRING works with the iPhone (iOS 13 and up) and with Android smartphones (Android 10 and up). It connects via Bluetooth (BLE 5.0).
What is the MYnextRING made of?
The ring is made from durable titanium with a hard-wearing PVD coating. The inside is seamless and hypoallergenic — comfortable for round-the-clock wear. At only about 3 g, it sits on your finger almost weightlessly.
How does the ring capture and measure body signals?
The ring contains several sensors: an optical PPG sensor (with green, red and infrared LEDs) for heart rate, HRV and SpO₂, a skin temperature sensor and a 3D accelerometer for your movement. From these signals the app calculates easy-to-understand wellness insights on recovery, sleep and activity.
Which values can the ring capture?
Among others: heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV), SpO₂ (oxygen saturation), respiratory rate, skin temperature trends, sleep stages (light, deep and REM sleep), stress level, VO₂max and activity (steps, distance, calories). Cycle tracking is included too. All values are meant for everyday orientation, not for medical diagnosis.
What is heart rate variability (HRV)?
HRV describes the small variations in time between your heartbeats. It is a valuable indicator of your wellbeing, your recovery and your stress level — and serves to give you orientation about trends in everyday life, not to diagnose illness. As a rule of thumb: a higher HRV points to good recovery.
How does the MYnextRING differ from other wearables?
The MYnextRING brings together sleep quality, recovery (via HRV), stress and activity in a discreet titanium ring. The built-in AI Coach translates your numbers into clear, easy-to-understand recommendations instead of a flood of data. On top of that: no subscription and data kept in the EU.
How accurate is the ring's data?
The ring's readings are calibrated against established fitness wearables and optimised for everyday use. As a wellness device it delivers reliable trends — but it does not replace a medical measurement.
Where is my health data stored?
Your data is held on servers in the EU and processed in a GDPR-compliant way. It does not leave the European area. You can delete it yourself at any time in the app.
Can I wear the ring every day?
Yes. The ring is made from hypoallergenic titanium with a seamless inner form and built for round-the-clock wear.
Is the ring waterproof?
Yes, the MYnextRING is water-resistant to 5ATM. Washing your hands, showering and swimming are no problem. We advise against wearing it in the sauna, while diving or in hot water, as heat and high pressure can strain the seal.
How long does charging take — and how long does the battery last?
The ring charges wirelessly in its charging box and is fully charged in under 2 hours (around 90 minutes). A single charge lasts up to 10 days, depending on use.
What do I do if the ring gets stuck?
Fingers and rings can swell slightly over the course of the day (warmth, exercise, salty food). If the ring feels tight: raise your hand for a moment and cool it, use a little soap or hand cream as a lubricant and slide the ring over the knuckle with a gentle twist. When in doubt, pick the right size in advance with the SizeKit.
Is the ring a medical device?
No. The MYnextRING is not a medical device. It supports a healthy lifestyle, but is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent illness and does not replace medical advice. The ring is not intended for people under the age of 18.
Is the ring protected against electrostatic discharge (ESD)?
Yes. The MYnextRING is ESD-protected — you won't get any electrostatic shocks through the ring.
Can I wear the ring on tattooed fingers?
Yes, that works. With very dark or dense tattoos, however, the optical measurement can become a little less accurate.
